You are 100% right. Everyone’s relationship is different. My ex & I were sleep compatible. However, after my divorce — I have yet to find another human who fits that category. Interesting aside regarding sleep & mental health — My therapist sent me out into the world with just as needed tune ups and stopped our monthly sessions after this little exchange:
Therapist: Where do you sleep in your bed?
Me: In the middle.
Therapist: My work here is done. Check in if you need to — I’m always here for you. But- You’re FINE.
Get yourself your own bed. Sleep in the middle. It’s cheaper than therapy. Trust me.
