I’ve been writing here on Medium for over four years. I suppose that makes me one of the Old-Timers. Not that I’m so good at it — this is a blog after all. My blog. It’s not a research paper or something I’ve submitted to the red ink of an editor. And I’m certainly not making any ends meet financially with this exercise.

It’s simply me. Who I am. What I think. Or more precisely — who I want to be. The thoughts I want to focus on. Because there were/are plenty of times when imposter syndrome hits.

Am I really the Human I profess to be to my readers?

We all have feet of clay. Missteps in our journey — sometimes the same ones over and over. We all strive to be ‘better’ at being Human. We want to love our neighbors and be at peace. We want a safe, clean world for our children and grandchildren to thrive in. We want security. All. The. Security.

We don’t like to admit we’re wrong. Or part of the problem we want to be solved.

Blogging has been a tool for me. Writing here has helped me clarify who I want to be to those around me. I don’t always get it right — no one does — and in those cases, it has also helped me forgive myself for being just that — Human.
