When I wrote for PS I Love, I would have thousands of views & reads even. And make pennies. It seems those views/reads didn't 'count'. Somehow the piece had been picked up & distributed (overseas) and the traffic it got wasn't with paying customers of Medium. Look at the stats carefully by source. If those views are not internal sources - you might not be paid for them. My best guess. I stopped writing for publications that distribute my work like that.
