When I first started my yoga practice, I used a book from the library & would do about 10–15 minutes in the morning. I found out later — as I started going to classes in studios — that I was much more flexible later in the day & I shifted to an evening practice.

I’ve tried flow yoga, hot yoga, and several other more vigorous practices and I well & truly hated them. It wasn’t until I found a gentle practice where I didn’t push my body past it’s limits that I actually enjoyed the practice.

My body hates gyms and All. The. Things associated with sweating. LOL — so I understand. The part I love most about yoga is that it isn’t a one size fits all. My nearly-80-year-old sister does chair yoga because getting up & down from the floor has become an issue as she’s gotten older.

I hope you find a movement routine that your body enjoys. Life is too short to sit still for it. :)
