What a cool job! At the end of my career, the surgeons had been given an app to put on their phones that encrypted photos to their account but allowed them to electronically transfer them to the patient’s chart. Since they were scrubbed in, most of the time — the circulator got the job of getting their photos. Because we didn’t have enough to do already — apparently.

I loved the OR because every day was like another anatomy lesson. My anatomy professor was one of the many I was a teaching assistant for. He would not be surprised at all that I ended up in the OR. I loved anatomy even before I was a nurse.
