What a beautiful piece! This resonates with me as well. I used to travel with a pair of married friends. He & I had been pals since high school. After my divorce, they decided to bring me along on their adventures and it was so much fun! But then he died in 2020, and ever since, I seem to have lost my wanderlust. I think perhaps it's not ever so much about the places we - but the company we keep.
