I am completely still — motionless in Savasana (corpse pose) at the end of my yoga class tonight. The room is darkened. There is complete silence as the class drifts away to the No-Where of Yoga Nidra. The Conscious-Unconscious.

At first, it’s just a small rumble. But the accompanying lightning flashes and registers even through closed eyes. The Universe is changing up the evening’s agenda.

Soon thunder booms and rolls without cadence or rhythm amid flashes of light as the studio is bathed in a surreal glow. A new energy enters the room to join us.

My Mind refuses to budge. She stubbornly stays attached to My Body determined to enjoy the show. I slowly and with some disappointment let go of attachment to this outcome. My consciousness will not be leaving the building tonight.

I relax into The Now of My Existence. I absorb the light as it flashes around me. I listen to Thunder. I become One with Storm.

And. Just. Like. That. I am transported to The Place. Only this time with no struggle or fuss. The Storm carries me— back to Source. Back to the Womb of My Soul. Back Home.

Later as I am driving home, it occurs to me — this is the way it happens — when we live with an open heart, in the moment, without struggle.

The Universe brings Her Magik — Her Energy — Her Gifts and takes us right where we needed to go in the first place.

Namaste.
