This year will be the 30 year anniversary of my daughter's liver transplant. She was 12 at the time. As an OR nurse I participated in countless organ transplants - heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, even pancreas. And also countless organ procurements. We sent letters through the procurement organization to my daughter's donor family but did not get any response. But please - for every donor family out there - know - your recipient & their families always remember. ALWAYS remember the gift of your loved one.
