This year - to celebrate our unique relationship - I sponsored a mated pair of Grey wolves at The Wolf Conservation Center. The pair I chose were not expected to produce any more litters. Their love & affection for each other went beyond building a family or having sex. They just were bonded. And they reminded me of my relationship with the man I refer to as My Best Friend. Last year - I planted a couple trees in honor of our relationship - for the future of the six grandchildren we have (his & mine). Hallmark & FTD will try to convince us that we have to buy what they're selling. But they're wrong. There are so many ways to honor a relationship without the cliches.
