This just seems to me a common sense solution. Which saves all parties involved unnecessary angst. But apparently not. We cannot allowed to be ‘wrong’ in the minds of others. They must ‘save us’.

I have always found that particularly distasteful. Being ‘saved’. I was never lost. Or in peril. Nor in need of a knight of any sort. I have my own sword — and as anyone who had crossed theirs with mine can tell you — I wield it better than most. The ‘dragon’ is my bud. I am no helpless, hapless princess. I am a warrior.

No. I do not need to be ‘saved’. The dragon & I are just ducky.

And mostly, I think that pisses the Humans off more than anything.
