There are Moments in Our Lives — my mother always referred to them as The Grace. Short for — There but for The Grace Of God, go I. You can look at it a couple of ways. You can show Mercy, Love, and Compassion to those in need and see that misfortune is no one’s ‘fault’ — it simply is what it is — an opportunity for us to be our best selves — like those young men — they rose to the challenge of The Grace.

But also — it is an opportunity for Gratitude when we see the times in Our Lives when things could have gone sidesways — when there were moments — well — it could have gone either way — but it didn’t. For whatever reasons, we were spared by The Grace.

I hold my own moments of The Grace closely in my heart with such gratitude — as you do. Because you are correct — there are no words.
