There are many reasons people mask outdoors. I wore a mask outdoors LONG before COVID hit because I'm literally deathly allergic to several tree pollens in my area. Donning a mask is way less expensive option than moving away from my home & family to reside in the desert. I also wore a mask outdoors whenever I was sick. And yes, the mask I choose is N95s because I'm a nurse and I understand how very small virus particles are & cotton masks are lovely fashion accessories, but are not all that great at preventing transmission of illness. I understand that my opinion is a bit one-sided. I was an OR nurse who wore a mask at work 40+ hours a week for over 25 years. To mask or not to mask - is not a big deal to me. Never was. So - I'll be breaking your resolution in 2023. Likely in 2024 as well - if the spring pollen doesn't kill me off. ;)
