Peace

Peace On Earth.

Does anyone out there remember what that felt like? In the Before Times — before the pandemic, before the emotional civil war we find ourselves in, and before The Towers fell.

Before.

Humanity, it appears, craves the adrenaline rush of war. Our Fight or Flight systems are programmed to default to Fight. We have lived so long in crisis mode — few of us could recognize a world without Fight.

But maybe this year — in this Goddess-awful year of lessons given — maybe we could try.

Even if for one day — commit to peace. If you can’t do a whole day, start smaller — do what you can, where you are, with what you have.

Let the adrenaline rushes cease. Detox then rehab your soul. Feed it Love, Kindness, Peace. And just see if anything around you adjusts to your new vibe.

Most of us are literally in survival mode.

But the truth is — if we want peace — we must become peace. And for These Days — that’s a helva a request.

Can we — just for a moment or two every day — remember peace? Can we honor it with the same enthusiasm we show for war? Can we advise our egos to stand down? Can we open our hearts to options, possibilities, and loving-kindness for All Beings?

Can we become peacemakers instead of war-bringers? In this season of miracles, can we insist that our lions lie down with our lambs?

Namaste.
