An ‘Off The Record’ Challenge By Joe Váradi
I pondered over my greatest fears a moment. And I realized that I have lived with anxiety so long — I don’t really fear anything. Nearly all the things I have had anxiety about — never came to pass. Wasted energy. The phobias I carry — dislike of heights, closed in spaces — well — I’ve been there — done that & survived and would do it again if I had to because I know I can. I avoid those triggers to make sure the peace I’ve reclaimed stays.
But I have no list of things I fear. I know the challenges I’ve faced in my life and I know the vat of courage I possess. It’s not that I’m a badass or anything — well maybe a little. It’s more that I have faith in my ability to survive.
Hagrid said it best I think -”What’s comin’ will come and we’ll meet it when when it does”.
Because I find comfort and absolute truth in fantasy fiction and fairy tales of old.
Namaste. And thanks Joe Váradi for this inspiration!
Here’s Joe’s piece. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
