The Extrovert Wins
As many of you well know, I have asthma. When the pandemic first hit and the lockdowns began, my family and friends were extremely worried about me and the death sentences that COVID was handing out right and left. As it turns out, over the ensuing three years or so, I have been significantly exposed to COVID a number of times and never got it. In fact, my winter cold this year was just that — a winter cold. Seven COVID tests later, I was still testing negative. I even signed up for a research study that is looking at Super Evaders — people like me who get exposed and yet, never seem to contract the virus.
As an asthmatic, I was in group four when the first round of vaccines appeared on the scene. Since April of 2021, I have had five COVID RNA vaccinations mostly from Pfizer, but one booster was Moderna.
But it was unsettling coming out of lockdown after I had been warned for so long about my personal risk factors. I also lost someone I loved to COVID — as most of us have. So I have been very cautious for a very long time.
But I’m an extrovert at heart. And a Sagittarius who loved to travel. So last month, I got on a plane for the first time in over three years and went to Arizona to visit with some Humans I happen to love. It was a direct flight, everyone was very kind, and I managed to catch up on some…
