That’s the way it works — isn’t it? Gratitude. Focus on what we have. We can always find someone whose loss overshadows ours — whose cross seems heavier to bear. There are people — friends of mine even — who look at my life with sympathy at the price living it has wrought from me.

They use their own scale to measure. Never mine. Every Human must measure Their Life by their own weights.

I love My Life. All The Gifts of it. I would not trade it least I lose the blessings I have — the most important thing of all — the Love — my children — my grandchildren — my sons in law. My Tribe.

All else — well, come what may — I’ll make whatever shows up work.
