Thank you, Pam. I’m 62 — well — nearly 63. :) I understand what you’re saying. “Make new friends, but keep the old.” And I have been doing a bit better of late. I recently started attending classes at my local senior center & have begun the process of socializing with many women there. I have made their acquaintance & likely some of those ladies will become my friends.

But I also know that I probably don’t have the time left to build another 50-years-old kind of friendship with someone again. Those friendships that go on for decades have sustained me. They have been such a vast blessing to My Life.

But — one never knows. I might have another 40 or so years left here. So yes, I suppose I should go for it! After all, at this stage of the game — there’s really nothing left to lose.
