So much this. I lost one of my best & dearest friends to COVID last December. To think I've lived nearly a year on this earth without his humor & wisdom astounds me. But when he died - I knew in my heart - there wasn't time to develop another friendship like this one. I don't have 50 years of runway left. It was an even crueler blow because of that.
