Sadly — it’s not unusual for the immunsuppression medications to cause secondary renal failure. Kidney transplants don’t last as long as other transplanted organs because the meds are ‘cleared’ by the kidneys. My daughter received her liver transplant nearly 28 years ago. They watch her kidney function like a hawk. Dialysis makes you vulnerable- yet there you are — three times a week for 4 hours at a clip — sitting in a room full of other patients. This is your life — you need to do this to live.

So yes. To protect the people who HAVE to go out. We have to stay in — if we have any kind of say in the matter. We have to stop giving this virus hosts to infect — to carry it to more hosts and on & on.

Until one of those hosts is someone we love — someone we can never get back. And we ask ourselves — why didn’t people just stay home? Why? What was so fucking important that we couldn’t just stop for a few days and be? To save each other?
