Oh My Friend — you will love this — the yoga posture (asana) you describe is called ‘Mountain pose’. Feet planted — hip distance apart — back straight — shoulders square — arms relaxed at your sides — head pulled up on your neck like you are a marionette on a string — all in alignment. Eyes open or closed — your choice. And BREATHE.
Mountain Pose. Solid. Grounded. Touching the Earth. Pulling energy up from the Earth or sending your spirit down — works both ways the channels do.
And remember — Prayer is Talking to The Universe — Meditation is Listening. We should all do a bit of both.
