“My race is Human”. I picked it up from that FB ages ago. It takes away the White People/Black People/Yellow People/Red People variable. “People” seems less connected to the fact that Humans inhabit an ecosystem dependent upon other species in a large complicated biosphere. We are not the top of the food chain meant to rule over the earth as some kind of royalty as Christians would have us. We are in it. Part of it. Stardust — dirt — ashes. And to that we will return. Human.

And yes — sadly, there are a lot Humans. And we are selfish, mindless beasts systematically destroying our own nest.
