My older daughter moved about every 9–12 months when she was in her 20s & 30s. I lost count of how many moves she made in that time — it was a lot. But — she also always said moving every year was a great way to keep the clutter & chaos down.

I think you make an excellent point — if you have to move it, a lot of stuff becomes simply a PIA & much sentimental value is gone! :)
