My first thought was - BUY BOTH! Life doesn't have to be either/or it can be THIS/AND. But then, ice cream is my drug of choice & I tend to stock up on my favorites when they go on sale. The Magical Creatures are always in awe of how much space in my freezer belongs to my ice cream. It's my evening 'nightcap'. ;)
