Long ago in a galaxy far, far away - my husband & I had a close group of friend that numbered 5 couples in total. The splinters in the relationships started to take place as 2 of the couples moved away from our quiet little Upstate NY community. Two of the couples remain intact & seemingly thriving. Two of the couples lost a husband or wife to a terminal illness. One of the couples got divorced. But as you say - those days together - the ten of us - we shared something very unique & precious.
