Last I knew (and I could be wrong -because I'm old) only women (mostly) did these particular exercises in futility to hide the results of a life-well lived. Men become distinguished with their gray hair, or are sexy when they shave it all off. I have learned from years in the dating world - shaving their head bald is what men do to combat age-related changes to their hair either from grayness or due to balding.

Aging for men & women in this culture is a VASTLY different experience.

Not a criticism, but a view on how women - who may already feel the loss of their voice - may feel about a guy bemoaning the fact that cosmetics & hair dye are such a PIA.

I don't wear make-up, never have. I dye my hair purple - underneath, the top is completely white. And I never cringe when someone thinks I'm old.

It is truly a privilege to age. :) I feel like my skin finally fits.
