I’ve been thinking about this. With The Wheel — the pose itself is physically challenging for me because I have some back issues — mild scoliosis in my thoracic area. It doesn’t give me any trouble until I try to get into really deep back bends. And even then, I’m ok with a very vigorous warm up. However, emotionally, I don’t hate this pose. It’s physically challenging. Warrior II was not so much physically challenging, I mean — you just get into it and stand there. But emotionally — I just hated it. It touched a nerve deep inside. Wheel needs a lot of physical prep for me, but I can get there and it doesn’t make me grit my teeth…it’s just hard. But when I first started doing Warrior II — I felt everything inside me RESIST. Isn’t that funny? So much less physical but emotionally just wretching.
