It seems that you have hit the nail on the head of this issue. I have always had a will, an advance directive, & a healthcare power of attorney in place to assist anyone who needs to honor my wishes should there come a moment when life & death decisions have to be made. But vascular dementia doesn't run - it gallops through my father's family tree. Only time will tell if me & mine have inherited those terrible, awful genes.
