Time Out Of Time
This weekend I’m heading south on an adventure to a place I’ve never been before with My Best Friend. We always have a great time. AND — it’s warm where we’re heading.
I’m bringing TWO bathing suits — maybe even THREE! The plan is to NOT wear real clothes the whole time I’m gone.
But I digress.
The real point of the post is this — I. Am. So. Excited.
I love to travel. I love getting away from my day to day. I love going to a place I’ve never been to before and exploring. And I especially love when all of the above includes a beach!
BONUS!
Because here’s the thing — you have to invest in Joy. It’s vital to Your Life.
Sure I could save vacation time, put off Joy till I retire later this year and get up every morning — trudge into work and make the donuts.
But why? Why postpone Joy?
Tomorrow is never, ever guaranteed.
I have held a lot of dying hands — and no patient has ever turned to me and had regrets over not working enough. When Humans face The Next Thing — they regret the times they didn’t grab Joy with both hands of those very same hands. The ones I am holding as they slip to The Other Side.
