Interestingly enough - I got a really, cute memoir piece about my mother's Jello salad boosted. It's just a sweet little memory. A couple days later, I wrote about my experience in the OR as an abortion nurse & why - yes, Virginia - abortion is really healthcare for women. The owner of the pub put the second piece forward & it was IMMEDIATELY rejected. Within 5 minutes. It was a 4 minute story. So - here's my thoughts. Story #1 - feel good & happy memories - YAY!! Story #2 - controversial subject that goes against a lot of people's belief system. Hmmm. OR perhaps it's just Round Robin. The algorithm won't let us get two pieces boosted in the same week. It's automatically set to share the wealth of boosting. Either way - doesn't matter. I don't write for the recognition or the money. I write because I've got a voice & something to say. :)
