In the level 1 trauma center where I worked, it was a very nurse-friendly environment. Other hospitals in my area have reputations for putting MDs on pedestals. Not my facility. When I started we have an incredibly strong & forceful woman as our DON. I think even the MDs were a bit scared of her. LOL
