In retirement, I returned to baking, sewing, knitting, & crocheting. Just yesterday, I made a chocolate cheesecake. Mind you - I've never made a cheesecake before. But the man I'm seeing loves chocolate - so it had to be thus. And I have to say, it turned out pretty good! But that's the difference, I have TIME now to do the things I enjoy. Baking isn't a chore for me - I pour love into every recipe. And I've taught all Three Magical Creatures to bake, sew, and knit.

We cannot know what the future will hold for them - My Magical Creatures. My mother would never have even imagined a phone that wasn't hard-wired to the kitchen wall. I'm sure I can't imagine what is in store for my grands. But that is their race to run, mine is coming up on the finish line - where for them, the starting pistol just sounded.
