I’m betting most of those women have some sort of permanent solution to their reproductive issues. Like menopause, hysterectomy, or tubal ligation. Even if just the fertile women decided to take back control of their sexuality from the male patriarchy — much would change.

But that has always been the core of the issue — right? Control of a woman’s sexuality. From Lilth forward — women have been punished for sex. Rape uses a woman’s ability to have sex as a violent weapon against her. Limiting her ability to control her fertility is just one more brick in this same wall.

I agree with everything you say. It’s just a very sorry state of affairs.
