I’m 58 and love my life. I love it so much more than I did 10 years ago. It’s a great adventure. In the last 8 years — I’ve gotten divorced, gotten tattoos, a motorcycle, traveled the world, and dyed my brown hair purple (I kept the gray). And I started writing. I’ve been doing yoga for nearly 20 years and made my physical body my friend a while back. The bad knee, the asthma, the soft belly, the scars, the sagging breasts, the wrinkles, and the 10 pounds of weight I never lost. They are me. They are my friends. I earned them. This body has carried me bravely through this life and I am so damn proud of her. Her strength and her courage and her beauty.

One day she & I will part ways, but until then — I am thankful every day we have together. Namaste.
