I worked for most of my career as an OR nurse - oncology/transplant/vascular/thoracic & hearts. But we did general surgery cases as well. My last couple of years were as an oncology nurse navigator for GI cancer surgeons. And my docs would knock me into the middle of next week if I didn't get screened. We both have seen too much not to pay attention.
