I was an OR nurse for most of my career. That meant I worked 40+ hours/week in a mask for decades. Wearing a mask isn’t a big deal for me — even with asthma. I never could understand the outrage. According to CDC guidelines, I can come off quarantine Thursday but should wear a mask in public for another 5 days. Because so many of my activities involve other seniors (senior center & bowling league) — I’ll like just curb my activities for those extra 5 days. Knowing I passed this along to several close friends has made me uber careful going forward. It’s an extremely contagious variant and I don’t want to be responsible for anyone else becoming sick. Or worse.

But — if I do have to go out after Thursday — you can bet — I’ll be wearing my KN95. I don’t bother with the fashion masks — I go for as much protection as I can find. :)
