I understand this so much. But I am reminded of caterpillars. The struggle strengthens them. So I drop a bit of wisdom here & there. But it's always up to them if they decide to pick it up - or if they need the struggle.

Same for us. You're 55 & still learning. I'm nearly 65 and still learning. Life is a process & it unfolds so differently for each of us. I do agree though - learning to say, "No" - the complete sentence that is it - is a vital survival skill to all women - everywhere.
