I understand completely. Aging has changed my vision & night driving is not something I engage in very often these days. I used to be the DD for all the girls when we went out dancing late into the night. Those days are behind me. In my Camry, I had turned the sound off on the GPS because I truly hated having someone tell me what to do. I simply used the map portion to navigate. But on my Prius - I leave the sound on to help me find my way. Dark country roads without street lights or lines are the worst. Add in some rain & I might as well just pull over and wait it all out.
