I understand completely. I once tried to read The Handmaiden’s Tale & just couldn’t get past the first chapter or so. It was such a wretched world. A true horror story. And yet, here we are.

I stood in line for over an hour yesterday to vote. I haven’t seen crowds like this at early voting since Obama won. So perhaps that gives me some hope for the days ahead. I’m not optimistic either — let’s just say — I’m hopeful after seeing those crowds.
