I think that the season of light is universally celebrated by nearly every religion out there. Each in their own way. We each take what we need from our childhood memories, add a few of our spouses' favorite traditions, and we build our own version of joy. Those childhood memories take us back to less complicated times. Times spent with loved ones. Because in the end - that's what we remember & pass on to our kids. And that's what we sink back into when we put up the tree, light the candles, or dance naked around a fire. :) We embrace the ghosts of Christmas/Hanukkah past to relive them year after year.

Happiest of holidays, Roz! May the oil last all the days of your life. <3
