I started doing jigsaw puzzles when I retired. The Magical Creatures & their daddy always have one going when I visit and the Littlest Magical Creature was 5 at the time & could completely kick my butt at it! I decided I needed some practice to be able to keep up with her! LOL But after I started — I found I truly enjoyed the time out of time that you describe. Being lost in an enjoyable task is a wonderful gift of retirement.
