I started a yoga practice over 20 years ago to help me manage my perimenopause symptoms. I began by taking a beginning yoga book out of the library. My body and soul felt so much better with just a few minutes every morning that I was hooked. I eventually found a teacher and when she retired The Universe led me to a studio by my house. With the pandemic, I haven’t been back to the studio in over a year. I downloaded the Down Dog app and I use it nearly daily to help fill that gap.

One doesn’t have to have a long practice to get benefits from yoga. I found just 10–15 minutes everyday could improve the quality of My Life.

Chair yoga is every bit as beneficial. I don’t do ‘flow’ yoga. My style of choice is Gentle or Restorative yoga with a bit of Yoga Nidra or Yin thrown in now & again. The lovely thing about yoga is that is adaptable. There is a type of yoga out there for everyone.

Hang in there — it gets better & better! ❤
