I probably have imposter syndrome going on here. While I’ve been a writer & editor for a number of years — it was never how I made my living. But I was a nurse and good nurses follow protocol. Give me a protocol & I’ll follow it right into the ground. On Crow’s Feet, the owner requests AP style in the submission guidelines — so that’s how I edit. On my own publication (Recycled) there is a more relaxed feel to the pieces. As I said in a comment above — I edit to the rules, but rarely suggest to writers that they change the voice of their piece — unless it’s obvious they’re struggling. I love editing your stuff — it always comes in publication ready. And I usually learn some thing!
Thanks for reading & responding — I’m glad you liked the piece. And as always — I deeply appreciate your friendship & support. Have a great evening! :)
