I loved this story so much! When I first started running — I was 47. When I would run 5K races — people who walked them had faster times than I did ‘running’ them. Yes — snails pace. But I ‘ran’ and I finished. And it was great. Until my knee — from an old riding injury told me we were done with this. So no more running — but hiking works for her.
And where ever women go — community forms. That is our superpower, don’t you think? We gather. We hold families together, and when we aren’t with a ‘family’ we make one. Of any or all of the people in our Circle. We put out our Vibe and we build Our Tribe.
Thank you for this wonderful tribute to your inspiring friend. Long may she run!(swim/ride!)
