I loved this piece! I, too, was a hands-on-book-reader. The texture, the smell - and don't get me wrong - I still enjoy it. But after realizing I'd have to part with some book 'friends' or get another book case (YET another) , I decided to give Kindle Paperwhite a try. I got a used one & let me tell you - the ability to ADJUST the size of the fonts of what I am reading is making me a believer for folks of our generation. Plus I'm also reducing my impact on the environment. Books need paper which usually comes from trees.
I borrow e-books from my library with ease. Anywhere I roam. I still read the occasional paper book when it's not available from my library in e book form. Usually also borrowed from the library.
