I loved this book so much! And the notion of hygge. It seems to me to embody All. The. Things. that bring us joy — but the difference between the US and Denmark is hygge doesn’t have that huge guilt complex attached to it like our damn puritan heritage demands of Americans.

Indulge in what brings your soul joy and do it openly without any negative connotations. There are no such things as guilty pleasures. Only pleasures. And I bet Danish saunas very much hygge in that regard. ;)
