I have heard it postulated that as we age, we simply become More of who we really all. And whenever I encounter ageism or really any kind of ism - my first response is to remind myself that fear drives those sorts of behaviors.

As we age & get closer & closer to the end of our runway - Human nature (at least in Western Culture) diminishes us. We are closer to Death - and thus - the ULTIMATE FEAR presents itself in those we encounter.

We can retrain those minds who would fear us, our aging, our deaths by showing them how to live. Right up until the moment we die. And that Death is part of life - not something to fear. Death isn't the opposite of LIFE. It's the opposite of birth. Two experiences every Human on this planet will have.
