I have actually — quite a few men in my life who are my friends. But that doesn’t mean they are good romantic partners. They seem to be able to pull off friendship. But I know some of their partners are not happy women.

You hit the nail on the head — we can raise better men. Men who do not even leave a blip on the asshole scale. I know some as well. I’ve been blessed with a couple of sons-in-law that I adore.

But that doesn’t mean they still don’t make my daughters cry on occasion. Because that is the nature of a long-term romantic relationship. And drama I don’t feel I need to go hunting for at this stage in my life.

When I was younger — yes. I wanted a husband and a family. Those were good years when we were raising our kids. Many, many good years.
