I got my motorcycle license around age 50. It was something I always wanted to do. I love motorcycles. It took awhile for my hands and feet to just do the thing on their own. But once when a car pulled out in front of me from a side street on my right - my body had already downshifted and was preparing to turn the bike down that side street if we couldn't get around behind them. Once the driver of the car HEARD me down shift he looked my way and proceeded to stop in the the middle of the road. Thankfully - there was a couple feet of pavement behind him and I got around him without having to lean hard into that right turn. That was the first time my body did that on the bike. As time went on - riding that motorcycle became second nature. My hands & feet worked the gear shift, clutch & brakes while my head stayed on a swivel. I developed a sixth sense regarding the traffic around me.
Watching my granddaughters learn new things is undoubtedly one of the highlights of My Life. They are in on line school so when I visit I get to be a teacher's assistant. I love that so much.
Thank you so much for the great information. I am grateful for your response & for you taking the time to read my piece. Many blessings! :)
