I get about 2–3 cases/year. It’s normally allergy induced. They have been messing with my maintanence meds and added some oral tablets which helped last year. Sometimes I can slide by and the steroids will kick in and I’ll catch it before it gets inflamed. I get this ‘mechanical’ bronchitis — not viral or bacterial induced. I’ve had it slide into pneumonia in the past. I really appreciate your kindness and concertn. I turn 60 this year so really close to your age.

And yes — no anesthesia MD out there wants to put me under if they don’t have to. LOL I was turned down years ago to be on the bone marrow donor list because of that.

All in all — day to day — I forget I have asthma. It gets that much better. I’ve never been to the ER or hospitalized and that’s huge. But then — I’m a nurse with nurse friends who basically set up hospital care for me in my living room.

Again — Bonnie — I can’t tell you what it means to me — that you reached out with such compassion and concern. Thank you so much ❤ I hope you are also healing well ❤
