I disagree. My most important relationships are with my children, grandchildren & their respective spouses. They are FAMILY. Next come the friends who are as close as FAMILY. Last of all comes a lover - no matter how compatible we are. That man comes after all my family - if he's really lucky he would be in slot # 9 - which BTW is also after my name.
The wonderful thing about relationships is everyone gets to build their own - their own way. The man I'm seeing lives 700 miles away. I see him in person about 3-4 times a year. We couldn't be happier with the arrangement. You don't need to understand it or condone it. I don't need to understand or condone your relationship(s). I do agree that finding that compatible being is like looking for a needle. However, mine showed up - as the saying often goes - the moment I stopped looking so hard.
Many blessings for a joy-filled life.
